How about this itinerary:

London->Zurich->Shanghai
3 days in Shanghai
Shanghai->Frankfurt->London

Does it qualify?

Gadi, in your route, Frankfurt is the destination, namely, Germany is the third country after you transit in China. Therefore, this route qualifies for the 72hrs free transit.
