About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Travelling from Vancouver to Vietnam

Stopping in Guangzhou or Shanghai. I will have only a visa letter for VOA in Vietnam. Will this be sufficient for the free 3 day free transit? Thanks

Yes, the letter for VOA can be regarded as a proof of legal entry permit to Vietnam. So as long as you satisfy other requirement, you can enjoy free transit either in Guangzhou or in Shanghai.
