About:Embassy & Consulates of Pakistan in China

Hi I am a PhD student in China my passport will expire on February 2017

and my Visa is expiring on July 2016 can I apply for Passport renewal now?

Shahid, if your passport still has blank pages, you should renew it six months before it expires. So the earliest time you can apply is August 2016.

Many thanks for kind response. My passport has blank pages yet but my Visa is expiring on August 2016. I will have vacation during July 2016-August 2016, and then January 2017-Feb 2017 and I want to go home in both. They renew the student X type for one year so my Visa will be renewed from August 2016-August 2017 but my Passport will expire on February 2017. should I have to carry both passports then? as visa will be at expired passport

You should carry both passports to travel then.
