we want to go from beijing, hike from zhenbeilou to mutianyuback to beijing in one

I have found several route suggestions on line, but I am not sure which one is best for what we want to do:from Dongzhimen:bus 916 to Fulebeidajiebus 918 kuai (fast) to Huairou.  get off at the Huairou Bei Da Jie bus 919 or 936  to downtown Huairou District Which is the best (time and cost) if we want to get to nanjili? If they are not terminus stops, can you please provide the stop name in chinese?Once there, is there a shuttle or only taxis to nanjili? How much can we expect to pay? From Mutianyu, take a mini bus to Yujiayuan to catch the connecting bus No. 876, 916 or 936 back to the city? Do they all go to Dongzhimen? Can we use the yikatong on any or all of the above?Thank you,Rachel

For your plan of hiking from Zhenbeilou to Mutianyu, hereunder is my suggestion: it is best to take bus Express 916 Line to the terminus stop  - Huairou Bus Station in an hour with CNY12. Then hire a taxi or private car there to Qianjiankou (Wofoshanzhuang) for CNY50-60. Hike for around an hour to Zhenbeilou. Move forward to Mutianyu and then go down to stay overnight at Xizhaizi (Qianjiankou). In the next day, take a city bus to Huairou Bus Station and still take Express 916 back to Beijing. And the three bus lines you mentioned above (867 perhaps) all go back to Dongzhimen and I remember Yikatong can be used for payment with some discounts. At last, I don't know where you are referring to by Nanjili.

Sunny's plan is really doable. You can also plan like this: take Express 916 Line from Dongzhimen and get off at Yangjiayuan (杨家园). Walk to Yujiayuan (于家园) stop to transfer the shuttle bus to Xizhazi. Then hike for some time and go back to Xizhazi for staying overnight. On the next day, hike form the Heavenly Ladder to Mutianyu. Go down from there and catch bus no. 867 back to Beijing and the terminal stop is Dongzhimen in downtown. You can also take a taxi with CNY10 to Huairou Bus Station to catch Express 916 Line for return trip.

We want to go from beijing, hike from zhenbeilou to Mutianyu and back to beijing in one day.
