About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is this itinerary possible?

US passport holder. Is this itinerary possible. Last minute trip. Please help. Thank you.
(Mar 14) LAX -> TYO
(Mar 18) TYO -> HKG
(Mar 20) HKG -> SHA - Lands in Shanghai Sunday 3pm
(Mar 23) PVG -> LAX - Departs Shanghai Wednesday 10:15am

Jay, of course, this itinerary is possible and you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. Have a good trip.
