About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour transit visa. And Cruise Ships!

We are from the Uk. travelling to Japan, picking up a cruise. Visiting South Korea and Taiwan before ending cruise in .shanghai, staying for 2 days before flying back to Uk.
The Chinese Embassy in London have no details of the free transit, and other organisations issuing entry permits say Cruise Companies expect passengers to have the full entry permit. Your comments please? Thanks
