About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa requirements for cruise ship entry to Shanghai and Xingang

Hello

We are Australians and will be arriving by cruise ship in March 2017. The ship docks in Shanghai and stays 2 days (overnight on board), we then have 2 days at sea and arrive in Xingang for 2 days (overnight on board).
What are the visa requirements for this please?

Regards
Diane Brooks

Diane, you cannot use the 72 hour visa-free transit because it is only applicable to those by flight.
I’m afraid you need to apply for a visa in advance to enter PRC. You may need to apply for a double-entry one.
