About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

Purchasing Hongkong Airport Express single journey(s) plus 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel.

If I get the pass worth HK$220, on the 4th day the card will automatic zero if I will not reload it?

Well, on the 4th day, you cannot enjoy the free MTR anymore. But don't worry. The AE single journey is still available. :)
In addition, you can also recharge some money on the pass. Then it can be used as the Ordinary Octopus Card. And you can enjoy discounts when taking public transportation, such as bus and subway.

I just want to clarify if my understanding is correct. The AE is worth HK220 then minus HK50 for the deposit, so I can use only HK170? it is correct?

First of all, the AE Travel Pass itself is not a stored value card. The 50 HKD is the deposit. You can get it back when you leaving HK. So if you buy the 220 HKD type of AE pass, it means that you costs 170 HKD to buy one way AE trip and three days free subway because you can finally get 50 HKD back. And no money can be used on the card. Am I making myself clear?

After three days, you cannot enjoy the free subway. Then you need to recharge money on the card and it can used on public transportation. Otherwise, the card is useless and its balance is zero.
But if you wanna take the AE on the fourth or fifth day, it's also effecitve. Don't worry.
