Will spend 5-6 days in Hong Kong, then to Chengdu where I would like to use the 72 hour visa, but then the homebound (USA) flight has a 5-hour layover/plane change in Shanghai. Does the Shanghai plane change kill my 72 hour free transit deal in Chengdu?

It's not possible to use the 72h in Chengdu when you have another stop in a chinese city on your way back home.

It's not possible to use the 72h in Chengdu when you have another stop in a chinese city on your way back home.
