About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

US citizen with invitation letter from company in China needs to get visa while enroute in Seoul. Ko

I am on an extended business trip. I have been provided an invitation letter from a company in PRC to have a meeting on March 7. I will be in Seoul from Feb 29 to March 5. I have completed the application form, have the photos as required and will have my passport with me in Seoul. Can I get an entry permit to PRC expedited through any of the PRC consulate or embassy locations in Seoul?

Eric, you should submit your application to the CVASC in Seoul and make sure that the area you live belongs to the consular district of the CVASC.
May I know which city and how long time you will stay in PRC? Because if you will fly back to US after staying in PRC, you can possibly enjoy the free transit, in this case, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit.

Thanks Mark for your answer.

I am from the USA so I do not qualify for the free transit. I have contacted the China Embassy in Seoul and they can expedite my visa when I get there. So I am all set. - Eric
