About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Layover Exploring

I Just wanted to clarify: If we are travelling from Thailand > Beijing > Vancouver > Edmonton, we qualify for the 24 hour stay visa, correct? I read above that we would need to stay in the "administrative area of the transit city" - what does this mean? Are we still able to travel to the Great Wall and other tourist attractions?
Thanks!

Ashley, if you are from Canada and you perform this route by flight, you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy. You need to stay within the "admistrative area of the transit city" means that you can't leave Beijing but you can visit the city area, towns and countryside of Beijing.

You can travel to the Great Wall as well as other tourist attractions in Beijing. Have a nice trip!
