About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

In and out of Beijing - to and from the same airport - need visa?

Hi,
I'm visiting Japan in a few weeks, and I would like to fly into Beijing for the weekend in order to see the Great Wall. So it would be Country A (Japan) - Beijing - Country A (Japan again). Does this constitute "transit"?

Hi Rebecca, this does not constitute "transit". To avail yourself of this policy, you can fly from Japan to Beijing to HK/Macau and then back to Japan.
