overnight in airport

Question

I have a 13 hour layover from 11pm until noon the following day, I would like to leave the airport and briefly see the city in this time frame, as well as get a hotel for the night. Would this be possible without chancing missing my flight? Would I be able to see anything of significance in this time frame? Also, am I better off getting a room at the airport or off site? I will be coming from Cambodia and leaving to the US if that makes a difference. Thank you!

What is the time of your departure flight? If your flight will take off at noon, you need to arrive at the airport at least 2.5 hours in advance. In this case, you will not have time to visit any place in Beijing. If you need arrive at the airport at noon to prepare for your flight, you may have time to visit the Badaling Great Wall, but you will be pushed for time. You'd better stay at the hotel at the airport to save some transfer time.
