About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling New Zealand to Seoul with overnight stopover in Guangzhou

Hi my wife and I will be stopping in Guangzhou on a flight from New Zealand (arriving 5pm) and departing for Seoul around 10am next morning. Is it possible to get a 24 hr visa free transit to leave the airport and stay in a hotel outside the airport? And if so do we need to book a hotel in advance? Thanks

Yes, you will be allowed to exit the airport, but a hotel booking in advance is the best way to do it. So, upon your landing in Guangzhou the first thing you will do is to approach 24/240 hour visa free transit where you will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting your flight tickets and your hotel booking. After a short check, you will be granted a permit and then you will head to the immigration and then to the city to enjoy your time in the city and to have a good night rest in the hotel.
