Well, it is okay to visit the city in April. But, the best time lasts from December to January, when you can enjoy the snow world, ice carving, skiing. You may spend three days in the city.

There is limited thing to do besides the Ice sculptures show, which is really good, had just ended. Taxi is hard to come by. We were there just a few days ago and stood on the street for more than an hour to get a Taxi (really cold at -25C). Sofie Church is just a shell outside and only bare concrete inside. The famous HuaMei Russian restaurant offers food is more Chinese than Russian, but the upstairs dinning room ceiling has been restored beautifully. Majority restaurants are closed by 8pm. Be prepared to have dinner at 4-5pm.

If one is unfortunately bused to the ""International terminal"" like us, there is no taxi and only unknown shuttle bus (if it shows up) to the main terminal far away.
