About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Is it possible to get a tourist (Possibly M-type) visa in Malaysia while a tourist there?

Hi - I'm travelling in Malaysia as a tourist at the moment, and wonder if it's possible to get a tourist L type for China while here? I've worked in PRC previously and quite recently, and have visited several times as a tourist over the past year, and so have a previous residence and several tourist L types in my passport, and a record of having been there. I've only ever applied before in countries I've been resident in, though. Could I do it as a tourist while in Malaysia?

Gayle, as far as I know, it’s possible for you to apply for it from there.

Thanks for this, Bill - it sounds as if it might be worth a trip to a entry permit issuing office to ask about, then...

If anyone else has any further experience or information to add, though, it would be very much appreciated :-)
