About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US to Beijing with layover in Shanghai

If I am flying from the United States and have a short layover in Shanghai and then go to Beijing for 24 hours before heading to South Korea, will I be able to get the 72 hour visa for my time in Beijing?

Victoria, you cannot get the 72 hour free transit because you stop over in two Chinese cities, but considering the policy, you can only stop in one. You should apply for a transit G type in advance.
