About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hello. I am citizen of Kazakhstan, studying in Japan. How can I get visa?

I am going to visit my friend in Shanghai. What kind of documents I need? And is it possible to get the entry permit with invitation letter from my friend?

Hey, I just went my closest Chinese Consulate and applied there. You'll need an invitation letter from your friend and the usual. Copy of your passport, resident's card, proof of flight ticket purchase, passport photo and you need to fill in the application form. And no, you don't need to do it through a travel agency like it says here. If this info is simply outdated it should be updated as it also threw me off.
