About:China Great Wall

My boyfriend and I want to hike and camp along the Great Wall.

We want to hike two sections: Simatai to Jinshanling and Mutianyu to Jiankou. Is there transportation (besides a cab) from Jinshanling to Mutianyu or do we have to hire a cab?

Hey, hiking from Mutianyu to Jiankou is a great experience, but the route between Jinshanling and Simatai has been closed. Now you have to hike them separately. Well then, you will have three sections to hike. The recommended route is Mutianyu/Jiankou – Simatai – Jinshanling.

For transportation, bus no. 867 can take you directly to Mutianyu from Dongzhimen. As you have to transfer for several times by public transportation to commute between the walls, I suggest you hire a taxi or car. The fee between Mutianyu and Simatai is CNY400-450 for a single trip. Further to Jinshanling, it costs CNY80-100.
