air b&b for 72h visa free transit?

Question

Hi, first off thank you for this very informative web site!My fiance and I are arriving in Shanghai on Mar 1 at 8:10pm from Tokyo and fly out to Chiang Mai on Mar 4 at 10:30am.  I assume that will be fine as it is less than 72 hours.I do wonder if staying at an Air B&B during that time is acceptable or if only a proper hotel would be accepted.Thank you!

Hi Tycho! You are fine with the 72-hour free transit policy, the hotel booking record is not required. So you can stay at an Air BnB.
