Tickets of Forbidden City

How far in advance should I buy the tickets, and where can I buy them, when travelling alone?

As I know, they only issue tickets of the same day if purchasing on the spot. If booking on the website, you can get one ten days ahead. As you are traveling alone, it is ok to queue up early in the morning for a ticket on the visiting day.
