About:China Visa

Apply Chinese Visa in a country where I'm not in

Thanks for your help in advance!

I am currently in China and will be travelling to Thailand for 3 weeks. I want to post my passport back to the UK to renew my PRC entry permit. It is possible because on the form I can entrust someone to hand in my application. I want to get a double entries of 60 days which will not be possible in Thailand. Would it caused a problem if I have an entry stamp from Thailand and not an exit stamp?

Marie, I don’t think you can ask your friend to apply for PRC entry permit in Britain when you are not there. In principle, if you want to entrust someone to submit the application for you, you should be in the country too. Usually, when you apply for PRC entry permit in a third country, it’s almost not likely for you to get one with double entries.
Even though you don’t have the exit stamp, it’s okay.

Sorry Phil it is me again,
Supposing that I entrust my brother to hand in my application with all the required documents with my passport. Is the consular or person in charge might denied my application because I have an entry stamp from Thailand and not an exist stamp?

Dear, I’m sorry. I’m afraid you cannot do that. If there is no exit stamp on your passport, the officer will reject your visa application because he/she will know you are currently not in the UK.
