Filipina working in HK wants to apply a S2 visa

Hi! Is there a way to get a Chinese (S2) at PRC Consulate in Hong Kong rather than L type?I am working as a DH in HK and married a US citizen who lives in USA but often travels to China for work. We seldom see each other and now that I am off for 2 weeks and he's travelling back to Shenzhen, PRC we wanted to spend time together while he is there. I tried to get a L type with supporting letters from my employer here but to no avail. If I have a letter of invitation from the head of the company in mainland and a supporting letter from my employer, and all other supporting documents like hotel reservations, will I get an entry permit to mainland? My husband is holding a M type btw. Hoping for your kind reply.
Thanks, Roze

Roze, if your husband holds business M type to PRC, you cannot apply for a S2 type.
Even though you can get an invitation letter from the head of the company in mainland and a supporting letter from your employer and prepare all the required documents, I think it’s very difficult for you to apply for a tourist L type mainland PRC.
In fact, you can ask your husband to visit you in HK and he holds American passport which allows him to enter HK freely for a stay of no more than 90 days.

Thank you Jeremy. So there is no way that I could get one? As far as I understood it's because of my status here in Hong Kong as a Domestic Helper. Is that right? It's kinda discriminating. I am holding on to my working type here 'cause we are processing my US entry permits. We got married here so we thought it's a practical way of staying here in HK to process my US entry permit. I am really hurt knowing the bias and discriminating rule of PRC government regarding domestic helpers in HK wanting to travel to mainland just because we are DH here.

I really feel sorry for what you go through. But it’s the policy and regulation, we cannot change that. All we can do is to make full preparation and try and try again. If possible, you can try to find a travel agency and ask for help. But I cannot assure it will work or not.
