Holdian F visa (30 days per entry): can I apply in PRC for a temporary residence?

Ottein, you can't get a temporary residence permit on the F type. If you can ensure that you won't stay for more than 30 days after each entry, your F type is ok and you can use it to travel between the PRC and Europe. If you worry about overstaying, you had better apply for a Z type entry permit and then apply for the temporary residence after you enter. You should apply for the Z type at the CVASC office in your country. The temporary residence should be applied from the Exit and Entry Administration of the local PSB of China.
