About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit Visa. I am planning to travel to Lisbon from Sydney. My wife holding Pakistani passport.

Does she need to apply for transit visa to change flights in China or anyother nearby stop over e.g Shanghai or Beijing.

Aamir, your wife needs to apply for a visa for the trip beforehand.

She's applied for Portugal visa but does she also require transit visa for China or Beijing or Shanghai if we take this route

Yes, she needs a Chinese transit G type for the trip.

Thanks Otto. So it means even the transit is for 4 hours Pakistani passport holders need to apply for G type visa.

Itinerary is Sydney to Shanghai Pudding then to France and lisbon operated by MU (China Southern)
Coming back same route operated by Air France. Please confirm. Thanks

Pakistani passport holders cannot enjoy visa-free policy, so the transit G type is needed.
