Stay in airport hotel with 24h transit visa.

I am from Philippines and I will have a 20h layover in Guangzhou on my way from Malaysia to the US and I understand that I am allowed a 24h transit permit.
But - as the layover is overnight, would I be allowed to check in at an airport hotel for the night?
