From Doha to Hongkong and then to Guangzhou and back to Doha via Hongkong

ABC, according to what you said, you are not eligible for the 72 hour policy. After you transit in Guangzhou, you should fly to a third country or region different from HK.

But i am already holding a return ticket to Doha. Still am i not eligible for the same?

One doubt as well HKG is considered as third region as per the eligiblilty rules..right?

Dear, according to the policy, after you transit in a Chinese city, you should fly to a third country or region which should be different from the one you depart. It means that after your stopover in Guangzhou, you cannot fly back to the departure region, namely HK. If you can fly to Doha directly or fly to another third region, you can use the free transit.
