Is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in the entire Guangdong province. This means that you can freely travel within the entire province without the need to pre book anything. Of course, it is highly advisable that you pre book at lest an accommodation for your first overnight and to bring a confirmation in hard copy. The reason is simple... The blue form that you will have to fill out upon landing in Guangzhou has several questions about your address, so do that for your peace of mind.
Anyway, in the end you will have to pre book a ferry ticket from Zhuhai to Hong Kong through CKS - Chu Kong Passenger transport company website because you will need this e-confirmation that you will receive after a booking as a proof that you will be really in a transit. So, you will print out this e-confirmation and have it with you even before your departure from Doha. You will also have to present this e-confirmation upon your landing in Guangzhou and also you will use it to collect your real paper ticket at Zhuhai ferry terminal. Please, keep in mind that you will have to use exactly that ferry that you have bought your ticket for!
