How many days ideally do you recommend tourists to visit the Silk Road?
And which dates are best to visit? May?

its depends on which section of the road you would like to cover , if you start from Xi an , Jiayuguan , Dunhuang , Turpan , Kuqa , Hoten , Kashgar all the way up to pakistan border takes about 15dys . if you dont have enough time you could make a shorter silk road trip about 10days could cover Xi an , Jia yu guan , Dunhuang , Turpan , Urumqi , Kashgar .7

Any time from May to October is tourist season to those region but July can be very hot .9
