American Citizen Living in Korea starting Job in China

Hello,

I am an American citizen living in South Korea. I recently got a job in Shanghai and am hoping I can take care of all the requirements (Z type) here at the Chinese Consulate in Shanghai. Will that be possible? Or do I need to book a ticket back to the states? Or can I do it in Hong Kong?

Thank you so much!
Amiy

Amiya, there is no Chinese consulate in Shanghai. You live in South Korea so that I think you must have ARC card, right? If it is valid more than 6 months, you can go to the CVSAC centers in Seoul to apply for your Z type. Remember to take your ARC card (original and copy).
