About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hello, I have a question regarding a layover in PVG.

I will arrive at PVG at 6am and have a 14-hour layover. What is the best way to get to downtown Shanghai and how long will it take?

Oh, you can make full use of these hours to tour around the city.
Upon landing, you are suggested to take the Maglev Train to get to Longyang Road Station. Then transfer to subway line 2 to get to People's Square, Exit2. The way takes around 25 mins. After that, you can walk to City Planning Exhibition Hall and take Sightseeing Bus. By the sightseeing bus, you can have a quick look of major attractions in this city, such as Bund, Garden Bridge, Oriental Pearl TV tower, Lujiazui and Jin Mao Tower.
After touring around, you can walk to East Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. There are many shopping malls and nice local snacks.
About the return way to PVG, you are advised to take a taxi directly. It takes around 30 to 40 mins.
