About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

we are arriving by ship for 1 day in March and will spend the day exploring Shanghai

we are from Australia do we need a visa Thank you for your help

Judy, if the ship stops in mainland China for no more than 24 hours, you don't need the entry permit. To explore the city, you should apply for a temporary stay permit upon arrival at the passport control.
