About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Leaving Shanghai

Hi.
I need to go to China for business purpose. I will arrive Shanghai (from Denmark) but need to go to Jiaxing to join a meeting. From Shaghai I Will leave to Taiwan. I Will stay in PRC for 60 hours.
Can I leave Shanghai using a 72 hour visa permit? Thanks

In principle, you are not allowed to visit other cities during the transit. But in real practice, it’s possible for you to go to Jiaxing and attend the meeting. As long as you don't take a train or flight to go there, it will be ok.
