Yes, it is a good time. The scenery is fascinating in January, and perhaps you can enjoy the snow scene there. The environmentally friendly cars will run normally. By the way, the temperature may range between 43F and 54F. So, you should take winter clothes to keep warm.
The best way is to take direct flights which depart at 19:35 every day. The flights are operated by Joy Air and China Eastern Airlines. The trip just takes about 1.5 hours.
As for the accommodation, you are advised to stay at Wulingyuan International Resort Hotel which is adjacent to the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The hotel provides clean environment and quality service.
