About:Macau Visa Policy

Can I get out of the airport and explore the city without applying for a tourist type?

Hello,

I am a Vietnamese citizen, currently living in Japan. I am thinking about booking a flight to go from Japan to Viet Nam. There's a layover of 23 hours in Macau. It seems like a hassle to get one for less than 24 hours.

Please let me know. Thank you!

Lam

Sorry, you can't. You have to apply for a tourist type from Chinese embassy/consulate in Japan before you get there even though you just transit less than 24 hours.
