Tourist visa maximum days and multi entry

Jeff, if it's your first time to visit PRC, then I am afraid that you have very little chance to get the multiple L type. A single L type is valid for three months but duration of stay is just 30 days. It means that you can only stay 30 days at most. If you plan to stay longer, you can ask for the extension at local entry and exit management bureau. You should submit your application at least seven days before your current L type expires. And duration of stay you get this time is no longer than that of your first L type. According to what I heard, you can do the extension only once right now.

To do the extension, you should provide your passport, application form, passport photo, temporary accommodation registration form, proofs for staying longer and at least CNY 21000 or 3000 USD in a Chinese account.
