About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying via 2 cities

Hi I am flying from Japan to London with 2 layovers of about 20 hours each in Shanghai and Beijing, this it with the same airline. I was hoping to leave both airports to stay in a hotel. Is this going to be possible?

Dear, according to what you said, you are neither eligible for the 24 hour direct transit nor 72 hour free transit. You should apply for a tourist L type or a transit G type in advance of your trip. In this way, you can leave the airport and stay in a hotel.
