About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Is it possible to apply for a Chinese visa while I am in Seoul? What documents do you require?

Hi, I'm currently visiting China to see my dad on a once off entry permit on my Australian passport, I will travel to Seoul tomorrow for a week holiday, and will require a new one to return to see my family. Apart from my Australian passport? Do you require my dad's Chinese ID card and a family invite signed by him? I used these for the Chinese ambassy in Sydney. The other question is how many days does it take to get it? I am staying in Korea till 24th Dec and can come to your office on 21st Dec. thank you, Sandra

Sandra, actually, if you don’t have Korea ARC card, it is very difficult to apply for PRC entry permit there. Your application may not be accepted. But you can have a try. The application should be submitted to the CVASC.
You should prepare those documents: the application form, a bareheaded color photo taken recently, your passport and copy of its data page, your entry permit to Korea, as well as an invitation letter from your father , his passport and Chinese ID card, and your birth certificate (original and copy). It usually takes 4 working days. However, express and urgent services are also provided, which takes 2 and 1 working days separately.

Hi, I don't have my birth certificate with me it is in Australia. The only proof I have is the 户口本,which contains my family members, including my dad mum and myself. This will prove that my father is in PRC. I will also bring my dad's invitation and his Chinese ID card. Unless I know I can get an entry permit I will not risk going to Korea because I will not be able to come back, my flight is in 4 hours please reply asap thanks
