About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am flying from New York to Tokyo, I have a 15 hour layover in Beijing.

I understand that should get me the 72 hour visa but I want to stay another 15 hours so I would have to buy a new ticket. I don't think buying a new ticket would screw things up.

Charles, as long as your route is ok for the free transit policy and your layover is not more than 72 hours, you can use the 72-hour free transit service.
