Extention of residence permit

I'm holding a student resident permit that will expire on jan 30th. i want to continue studying in china in another university but the problem is that program start on feb 29. What can i do to extend my resident permit without going out? Thanks

Imane, you can see if the new school can give you an invitation letter or student certificate in advance? If not, I'm afraid it will be difficult to extend your residence permit. In this case, you can change your X type to an L type and later convert it to another X type and renew your residence permit after the program begins.
