About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Indian Citizen currently in HK under job permit,need to extend as tourist

Hi,
I'm an Indian Citizen working under a job permit in HK currently now and possess a HKID card. when my job permit expires I would like to stay for couple more days may be like 2 weeks.Will it be sufficient if I go to Macau and then return to HK as a tourist..or is there other ways..Please advise

Sham, if you plan to renew your labor contract with your employer, then it's possible for you to extend your stay permit four weeks before your job permit expires. If you don't plan to do so, you can go to Macau then return to HK a few days later, but I'm not sure you will be allowed to enter or not. I personally think there won't be problems.

Hi Molly,
I dont intend to renew work permit..So I was trying for an option without travelling till India but do an exit and entry to HK for one more week...
