About:China Bank Acount, Credit Card, Traveler's Cheque

My daughter is studying for 4 months in Beijing. what is the best way to deal with money?

I've read credit cards but she doesn't have one yet. ATM cards but this seems to not always work. Cash is too dangerous I would think for the amount she would need.

Lin, actually many foreign debit cards can be used in China. So I think you should let your daughter bring a debit card and then withdraw money from the ATMs when you arrives in Beijing. Before withdrawing the money, she should check if there is a same logo on the ATM. If so, she can withdraw successfully.
