14 hour transit in Beijing with indian passport

Hi im flying from US (green card holder) to India. I hold an Indian passport, i will be in transit for 14 hours at airport, do i qualify for the 24 hour permit? Will i have to check out my luggage?

Yes, you are eligible for the 24h visa-free transit. After landing, just apply for a stay permit from the inspection counter and you will be allowed to leave the airpor for a short tour.

If you hold through ticket, there is no need to check out the luggage and reclaim it. Otherwise, you have to handle your luggage on your own.
