About:Zhangjiajie Travel

I want to fly to Shanghai from Zhangjiajie by going to Changsha first.

I have tried to do this but Air China do not recognise the request. Should I be booking at another airline? Can I book a flight with the airport direct?

Actually, it's not necessary for you to go to Changsha first and then fly to Shanghai. There are several direct planes that can take you from ZJJ to Shanghai.
But I've checked the official website of Air China. It doesn't have air rounte between these two places. So you can change the airline. Shanghai Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Juneyao Airlines all offer the fly. Just find their service counters at the airport and buy the flight tickets.
