About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I qualify for 72h free transit if my British passport is less than 6 months validity?

I am travelling to Pudong, Shanghai on my British Passport and would like to enter the country on the ’72-Hour Exemption’ as I have an outgoing ticket 3 days later.

Unfortunately my passport expires on 25 May 2016, therefore less than six months. Am I still applicable to enter Shanghai and eligible for the exemption? I will of course present the departure ticket as proof of leaving Shanghai less than 72 hours.

Leanda, I personally think you can still use your passport for the transit. But you'd better confirm this with Shanghai Airport Immigration Inspection at 0086-21-51105100.
