About:Shantou Transportation

Guangzhou - Shantou - Jieyang International Airport

I and 2 other friends intend to travel from Guangzhou to ST City in the early morning, then to Jieyang International Airport in the late afternoon to take flight to Shanghai. Can you recommend the transportation as well as fares? Many thanks

From Guangzhou, you can take a high speed train to Chaoshan from South Railway Station. The duration is about 3 hours. The second class seat costs CNY 164; the first class seat costs CNY 207; the luxury seat costs CNY 280.5; the business seat costs CNY 468. Upon arrival, take a bus to the downtown area for CNY 18. The duration is about 40 minutes.

To Jieyang Airport, you may take the airport shuttle bus East Line from Golden Gulf Hotel (no. 96, East Jinsha Road, Longhu Dsitrict), or West Line from Overseas Chinese Hotel (no. 7, Changping Road, Jinping District). The bus fare is CNY 20, and the duration is about 70 minutes.

In general, the cab fare is CNY 150 to 200 in the day time.
