About:China Visa

i am flying kuala lumpur - xian - kuala lumpur 72 hr stopover. is the transit visa ok for this

Stan, I'm afraid not. Your route is not qualified for this exemption policy. Under the 72hr free transit rules, you have to fly to a third country after the layover.
