About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Is medical exam required for Z Visa application?

Good day

I am a canadian citizen living in the Philippines

I called the Chinese embassy in Manila last week and the person on the phone told me that the medical exam for Z type( for Work) was no longer needed since 2013???

Is that valid information, or a miss understanding?

Richard, you should believe what the person told you. Anyway, he is a staff of the consular office. Besides, it's true that the medical exam for Z type application is no longer required since 2013 because of policy changes. But you need to take a medical exam after you enter China to apply for a residence permit.
