Flight from Hong Kong to Beijing to USA - eligible for 72 hr free visa?

I am traveling from Hong Kong to Beijing on 11/27 arriving 8:20 PM, touring the city and then leaving from Beijing back to the USA on 11/29 at 5:25 PM. Am I eligible for the 72 hour free transit?
