About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

We are only one day in Hong Kong on a cruise.

We wish to go to the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. Is it worth buying an octopus card. We are seniors and not sure if we get a discount as a senior?

Personally, it is better to buy Adult Tourist Day Pass. The price is 55 HKD. It contains one day unlimited travel on the MTR and Light Rail (except Airport Express, MTR Bus, East Rail Line First Class and travel to/from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau stations). In addition, discounts can be enjoyed with Octopus Card, but it is not necessary for one day stay.
